which one is better to visit im limited on time so yea im gonna be arround broadway and near 5th ave. nut i can take a taxi to where ever they are so awyway which 1 is better??

Why are you going to a botanical garden if you don't even know what it is???


If you ever find out in time, the Brooklyn Botanical Garden is supposedly the best, but that may have changed...sheesh!
Reply:Broadway is no where near fifth kiddo and to go to those places you can take a train or a cab ..but yellow cabs don't like to go outside of manhattan...but if you got the cash rent a limo for the day ..for a greenhorn its much easier
Reply:I must admit that I just love the Brooklyn Botanic Garden!!! It's right near where I live and I go there a LOT!





But the NY Botanical Garden is wonderful, too.





The one in Staten Island has a few special places, but overall, is not as interesting as the one in Brooklyn or in the Bronx.





I think, BTW, that the one in Brooklyn is the easiest to get to.





And, Botanic means having to do with plants. Yes, I guess it's a bit redundant to say "Botanic Garden" but a botanic garden in America usually means one that is for study. And they do a LOT of research on plants at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, that I know, in addition to having a beautiful place to visit!





Check out the Japanese Garden there! That's the best part! And if you go when the cherry trees are in bloom, don't miss the Cherry Esplanade!

of the three listed, I would go to The New York Botanical Garden up in the Bronx ....although it is more expensive to take the train rather than the subway, it is far more pleasant: you can go to Grand Central Terminal to take the train ... ask at the information area where you should go to buy a ticket to the Botanical Gardens stop.... you will find a beautiful glass house (a large greenhouse) with all sorts of plants and trees, and if it is warm weather the gardens outdoors will be beautiful.....if you would like another place to visit in the area, The Bronx Zoo is right nearby ......so: have a nice time

Reply:Brooklyn Botanical is hands down the best one gardens in city. If you are hereinthe spring, the Cherry Blossom festival is where its at.
Reply:the brooklyn botanical garden is the best one in my opinion, its absolutely beautiful. botanicals just means anything to do with flowers and such.
