Cheap, small, private wedding in NY?

Hi everyone, my fiancee and I are looking to get married in June of next year. The problem we are having is we will only have 15-20 people in our party, and most places have a minimum of 50-200 people. We are also both not religious, so getting married in a church wouldn't work either. We looked at the Queens botanical garden to get married and possibly have the reception, its nice, but I don't like the fact that when we went we saw at LEAST 10 brides/bridal parties.

We just want something small nice and PRIVATE, that wont be too expensive. Anything indoors OR outdoors.

ANY IDEAS??? Maybe something one of you couples out there did?

With that few people you will most likely have to do it at a restaurant. In June you might find a nice place with a garden or outdoor patio that you could rent out for the afternoon. Most golf clubs/resorts have rooms they use for showers or rehearsal dinners that would be the perfect size for a small wedding.
Reply:Go to http://www.wedding-savings-for-bride-gro... and fill out a form for reception halls. You'll enter what you want and if there are any places in the area that will meet your needs they will contact you.

There is no cost for this service or obligation to use any of these vendors.
Reply:You can looking into a Vineyard out on Eastern Long Island:
Reply:I've seen some lovely weddings in a nice park. You can rent out an area for cheap. Or have a simple backyard wedding. Good luck!
Reply:I am getting married next week and sorta had the same problem as you . I want a small intimate wedding , I only have 2 bridesmaid , my ring bearer and a best man , thats how small the bridal party is . We are having about 25-30 guests . My mom just moved and have a huge backyard with a lake so we are turning her backyard into a wedding reception . With decorations you can do anything and they are not too expensive . Rent a nice big tent and put the tables underneath it and you should be fine.
