when i lived in salem, i remember the iris gardens. they were just off I-5, on the west side of the fwy, i think around the keizer exit???
they had irises of every color and smell, you can purchase, and many different fragrant azaleas. it was wonderful...
also rose gardens in eugene, just north of underbridge park....
and of course, the rose gardens in portland....
