Can you suggest some verses appropriate for a wedding invite about love? Preferably verses that aren't overdone like I Corinthians 13:4.
Also any verses related to love... using flowers or gardens in the as a comparison (we're getting married at a botanical garden)
Thanks!
Bible verse appropriate for wedding program/invitation?
You can use the following bible scriptures approriate for weddings/marriage:
Matthew 19: 5- "...for this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and will stick to his wife, and the two will be one flesh."
Matthew 19:6- "...they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has yoked together let no man put apart."
Or regarding love or how you both feel for each other: you may put this on the invitation:
Song of Solomon 1:15-- "...Look! You are beautiful, O girl companion of mine. Look! You are beautiful. Your eyes are those of doves" =groom's name=
Song of Solomon 1:2-- "...May he kiss me with the kisses of his mouth, for your expressions of endearment are better than wine" =bride's name=
anyway, congratulations!!! hope these verses helped some...
Reply:Pretty much anything in the Song of Solomon, it is about love.
Song of Solomon 2:16 My beloved is mine and I am his; he browses among the lilies.
or these would work.
Proverbs 4:6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: \b love her, and she shall keep thee.
Song of Solomon 1:2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy \b love isbetter than wine.
That one there ^^^ is great!
Song of Solomon 2:2 As the lily among thorns, so ismy \b love among the daughters.
Song of Solomon 4:7 Thou artall fair, my \b love; there isno spot in thee.
1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
I love your idea though, I will use it when I get married. :)

Reply:Last time my account was "suspended" for supplying someone with an "appropriate" Bible verse for their event. I think I'll pass on this one and settle for two points!
