from people who have actually visited NYC. Hints, places to go %26amp; see. Prices for nice dinners, broadway shows etc....I am planning a trip next April to see the Cherry Blossoms at the Botanical gardens.
I need a list of things to do in New York?
If you like Italian, you have to go to Sardi's (http://www.sardis.com) - I had the best salmon ever. They've got signed caricatures of celebrities on the walls, and you have a good chance of seeing a one, too. But the food is the reason to go for me. As I recall, we walked in after the theater crowd hit the shows, but you may want to call for a reservation.
Reply:go 2times square
Reply:Something that I know will definitly help you is if you go on google.com and look up tourist sitings or something about tourist attractions in new york and look up a tourist site which will tell you places to go, to eat, and for entertainment.
Reply:...A list ? I don't have enough time and paper to make you a list... get a copy of the Sunday NY Times and let your "eyes" do the feasting... There's more to do in NYC then you'll ever have time to do... NY, NY the City so nice, they named it twice...and it's open all night long ! (be sure to go up in the Empire State building...have a "look" around)
Reply:I live right near nyc its a great place to go. One place you would probably love would be Broadway, prices range from what seats you want. you can find that out the prices on ticket websites. All of the broadway shows are fantastic! you will never be disappointed there! If you are a chocolate addict like most people, m%26amp;m world and Hersheys is a great place to visit. If you like historical things you can see the library and the museum of natural history. Great places to visit also include little Italy and china town. Almost all food in NYC is great. If you like to try new things, and are a daredevil, you might want to try dirty water dogs. It sounds gross but its so good!! Really. Make sure to wear sneakers, cause your going to do alot of walking! Enjoy the trip and i hope you like my suggestions! : )
Reply:The Sause is a fuse show live everyday you should stand in the window and jump up and down and I will watch you on t.v.
Reply:I've never been to NYC, but if I ever were to go, I'd want to see about getting tickets to the Late Show with David Letterman. My trip wouldn't be complete without seeing one of his shows being filmed.
Reply:The link below shows several things I believe like 10, hope that helps!!
Reply:you dont' even need a list when you get here where I live you would know from there is so much fun you won't sleep
Reply:I don't have any nice dinners or broadway shows, but you should definitely check out the top of the Empire State Building at night. The city looks amazing with all the little lights everywhere. There's also Madison Square Garden, Double-Decker Bus Tours, Museum of Natural History, Cathedrals, etc. Try typing "new york city sights" in Google for more.
Reply:See the Lion king
Reply:here are some suggestions and tips from our personal experience:
we went to NY for a week and stayed at the Hilton Embassy Suites.
we had a blast!!!
there's a book called Lonely Planet (NYC)
it is a really really helpful book for tourists like us because it includes walking tours, etc, and places to eat.
you should visit Serendipity for dessert :)

by the way, instead of waiting for hours in line to get to the statue of liberty, you may opt to have the NY waterway tour instead. This way, you will save enough time to tour other parts of the city :)
http://jotan23.blogspot.com/2008/03/tour...
there's also the famous BULL at the financial district :)
you should also try the yummiest Pizza Margherita at 'Lil Frankie in East Village ^,^
if you have more time, try walking the stretch of Brooklyn Bridge.

this serves as an exercise too.. hihihi
also, do visit Saint Patricks's Cathedral at 5th avenue.
don't miss to go inside.
it's wonderful!!!
we also went to Top of the Rock instead of the Empire State Building to avoid the long line hihihi because we were afraid we won't have enough time to see other parts of NYC :)
for shopping, you may want to visit Century 21, just across the former WTC.
http://jotan23.blogspot.com/2008/03/livi...
you should have lunch/brunch at Cafe lalo!!! or at Sarabeth's :)
we chose Cafe Lalo hihihi because of the ambiance and because it's famous.
To relax, try having a picnic at Central Park.
http://jotan23.blogspot.com/2008/03/labo...
we chose to eat at the top of one huge rock there to have e good view of the whole central park :)
then, we went to MET (entrance is by donation only, you don't have to give 20 USD)
if you're a techie like my friends, you may want to visit the MAC store. it is now a tourist spot because of its unique architecture :p
DON'T MISS eating at PARADOU!!!
it's a MUST!!!
trust me on this!
you also gotta watch a broadway show! definitely!
there's WICKED and SPAMALOT :)

Reply:Stroll through DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) - the views of the bridges and the east side of Manhattan are sensational.
Reply:Ride the Staten Island Ferry. It's free and it goes right by the Statue of Liberty. It's really a great ride!!!
Also check out Brooklyn and Queens.
Reply:I don't know if there is a "This Week in New York" - but if you come to Philadelphia, there is a "This Week in Philly" that can cover all of that and then some!
